I read the first book in the Tales from the Kingdoms series

What I thought

I love fairytale retellings and Cinderella is one of my least favorite fairytales, but I admit I've read many Cinderella retellings. This was one of the worst I gotta say. First off she has a father, yes a father who just stands around and lets the stepmother treat Cinderella like crap. Don't apply for father of the year anytime soon! Also the characters aren’t necessarily likable. Don't even get me started on the ending! With that said the plot was interesting and I finished in one sitting and I also liked how Cinderella and Rose became friends. I recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Cinderella tale.
